Please put your cannon and elf tunnel close together to maximise both yours and your friends getting max bells. They’re my first choice on my visits and I move on if I can’t find the tunnel. Thanks and Happy New Year everyone 🙂 x

And then check your Springfield often. 10 bells. Thats like getting 2 free elves every time.
Also it looks like there is a chance to earn donuts but I’m not sure they actually add to the total. So woohoo and doh.

Do any characters have permanent tasks for Sequel shop? It seems a pity to have a big grey screen that will never show animations again after xmas task completed 😦

Yeah seems kind of redundant and silly if you ask me, but I’ve been through the characters and I don’t see one with a quest for the building. :(( Data of all people should at least! And maybe Otto??

Back when we were doing the stage 1 prizes I remember looking at the stage 2 prizes that were greyed out & trying to figure out what they all were. I’m certain one of those prizes was the broken down robot that everyone says looks like Bender, but when the prizes were released at the start of stage 2 he’s no longer there. Now he’s only visible in the menu for buying cogwheels.
Anybody got any idea why they ditched him? & what did we get instead? was it little helper Ralph? or did they just cut it & give us nothing instead?

Dont know why it was changed. Ralphs skin was there all along, I think the spruce kaboose was added though.

Thanks for the reply Em, I think you’re right that it’s the Spruce Caboose that replaced him.
Maybe EA swapped them at my request cos I did put a post on here saying that I was a bit disappointed at the lack of buildings when the Fever Cabin turned out to be a deco.
Maybe they do pay attention to what is posted on TSTOTopix after all, let’s hope so.

Some thinges changed. The controlbuilding was suppose to use Gunpowder for upgrades and we’d get gunpowder as a prize. The Spruce thing (not sure it is a building though) will fit nicely with my forest I think and the Island sounds great now that no more tiles can be made and new sea was added.

the thing is that the Gun powder price (and items) were still cogwheel and that robot you can see for 50 cogwheels. the name was Gun Powder though. Weird as the Elf Bells were called Elf Berries (and still looked like Bells).

Spruce Caboose is a building. $200 / 20 XP every 12 hours. In the show it was the biggest train ever built, too big for the tracks and it crashed. The dining car was made into a restaurant.

Thanks Mike, good news that, I was hoping it would be a proper building judging by it having a quest to send plant workers there after placing it.
Is there any indication in the files as to whether there will be any permanent jobs there after the event?

Usually they dont add them. Its possible that they’ll add it later you never know

it was just gun powder (50 cogwheels now). maybe they changed it cause it looked like bender? 😀

Is it me are the special tasks for homer and and everyone during the Christmas event giving out money and not bells or cogs?

yeah in this phase you only get them with shooting elves, doing the main questlines and friend visits

Regarding the Elf Bottler: You say there is no task with that prize, but I did get a task asking me to zap 20 elves using the Elf Bottler. I think it was also called “Elf Bottler”, not quite sure about the name though.

I seem to be burning though my bottled elves as I upgrade cannon. Is there a way to generate more elves? I will have to wait as the amount shot increases and time recharging lowers. Any suggestions?

Lowest cooling time is 2h and maximum elves per shot is 13 (39 to maximise payout for all three shots). Theres no way to increase the droprate but you can rush the elfcave for donuts to get more elves.

Yeah I have the same problem. My cannon currently can shoot 33 elves every 3 hours, but it seems the elves regenerate roughly 3 every half hour = 18 elves in 3 Hours. For about 2 hours last night I got new elves every 15 minutes, but I have no idea why. Its making me really dislike this event, there’s not much sense in upgrading the cannon’s recovery time & shooting ability if you don’t have enough elves to make use of it..

Does anyone know the score with tapping friends’ cannons? Is it mutually beneficial?

yeah it works just like with buildings. you speed their cool down!

Yes. Your friend gets 5 bells everytime the handshake on the cannon is cleared. You get more bells for tapping your neighbours cannon than the normal buildings.

I’ve seen higher bell count for tapping a friends tunnel as well as getting bells for clearing a handshake on the tunnel in my town..
